It's a solicitors company which helps in House deals etc
I had bad experience with this firm they are just interested in your money plz don't go to them, they are not helpful at all and they are so stressful to deal with ?? .....
For more accuracy, start reading the negative comments first. They must be the only solicitor company in Ireland with that many reviews Please scroll down to read our original review. Brilliant news, Google have returned my original review. My earlier review has been removed from the public to see. I can see it but nobody else can. Anyone who asks this company for help with a legal matter are leading their lives into total destruction. After my family were dragged all the way to the supreme courts and lost everything we worked for as well as 11 years of our lives. We had to hire another solicitor to find out what went wrong. We were horrified to find out that this company lost our right to have our home repaired because they took us to the high court looking for 30k for themselves for writing a handful of letters. They told us it was because the insurance company reneged on the repairs. All We wanted was our home repaired and evidence of that is in the photos. The reason they dragged our family all the way to the supreme courts was in order to get a case against them statute barred. That worked and it's called fraudulent concealment. This company has threatened me with legal action for making a complaint about them to the law society. Avoid this company unless you want your lives destroyed. Click on the profile and then read the documents in the photos.
I used these solicitors to help with my application for a Foreign Birth Registration. When I initially called them they clearly assured me they would procure all the necessary documents, and do the application on my behalf. However after I paid the fee they told me I had to procure all the documents myself. They totally misled me, I also found them very slow and unresponsive. I would recommend you use another company,
Terrible company to deal with, with no decency to respond to clients. It's been 4 years since they started registering my property - would not recommend, stay away
Just deal with Gary.
This company lost my documents! Ya lost my documents, then called me a liar saying I didn’t even give the document to their representative (Kim Shaw)!!! 100% the document was submitted to Kim Shaw, who for some reason doesn’t work for this firm now. Apparently Sharron Shaw who was not even in the meeting knows the conversation that pertained in that meeting. I was the that meeting when I handed it to Kim and told her it was a hard document to re-order. This is the document Gibson & Associates lost. Now I don’t know if they “lost” the rest of my documents and burned me for the payment they received for their services. Never trust Gibson & Associates!
Avoid this company. They will destroy you and your family if you ask them for legal help. When they have destroyed your lives they will drag you all the way to the supreme courts to make sure a case against them is statute barred.
Amateurs
I used Gibson & Associates to guide me through the whole process of purchasing a new house. It was a painful experience. Extremely amateur and unprofessional. I had to chase all the tails with bank and developers constantly because they couldn't care less. Mistakes after mistakes. Stay away from these people, couldn't be worst.
Not good. I'm very disappointed with the service. First, made an appointment with me and I was waiting more then 30 min downstairs without an information about the delay. Second, they call me for the meeting but nobody has the decency to pick up the downstairs and guide me to the office. Once I arrived to the floor I was looking around try to understand which person would guide me to the office because they were talking relaxed. After I finally went to the office and they asked me to pay 306 eur for the appointment, that by the way passed already with all this time waiting. Then I was left inside a room alone one more time waiting more 10 min. After I talked with the Solicitor, she gave me the hope that will try to see what can do to help me and will give to me a answer about at least in 2 weeks. I was waiting all this time and after days passing from the date she told I sent e-mails and no reply from the office just on third e-mail I received an answer saying can't help sorry. No more information about why.
I would not recommend this firm, I was a client of there's last year on a property transaction and the delays were disgraceful, they kept loosing documents and blaming the estate agent for their own delays. The Dublin office is poor, unprofessional and badly managed, I would never return. Poor service.
This company was instructed to handle my late fathers probate nearly 5 years ago. Despite repeated requests for information/updates we cannot get a response from them. Very unprofessional.
TLDR: Avoid them. I worked with them (pre-pandemic) in a perfectly standard house purchase, yet the process just dragged on and on without any apparent reason. Both the previous owner and I have supplied all necessary documents, which they sat on for months, promising updates all the time that just didn't come. I always had to reach out to them to kickstart things again, and 90% of the time the appointed solicitor and/or her assistant were on "meetings", "trainings" and such, which was clearly not true. I spoke with my actual solicitor a grand total of 1 times in the process than totalled around 4 months. Their communication overall was horrible and mostly nonexistent, I wasn't ever clear on the status of things, roadblocks, the timeline, subsequent steps, or anything else really. When I pointed these out, I only ever got the vaguest apologies and promises that they'll finally get things going. Meanwhile I was in continuous contact with the owner, who, along with their solicitor, confirmed that they've done everything on their end, and kept pressuring me to sort things out with Gibson. As a paying customer I shouldn't ever be in such a position. It caused me undue stress, and since I was renting while waiting for the process to finalize and to move into the house, a very real monetary damage as well. I've passed these details to the estate agent's company so they can advise clients against going with Gibson, and I'll let all my friends know about them too.
I decided to use Gibson and associates for my tracker problem months ago (at least 6/7) . I went to see one guy in there whose name escapes me. We got a phone call back from a lady looking for some information. I returned her call twice or three times left messages and no reply. Disappointed especially after paying a retainer up front. 11
Currently trying to Transfer 3 properties. The upfront process was good...quote/ cost / scope of work etc. However the execution side of the process is poor....slow/ lack of communication / commitments not made etc. Had hoped what looked like a slick Dublin operation to be painless but getting the feeling i should have stayed with my local rural Solicitor!
Rip off service! Lost €655 for 3 advices. I reached them about some employment matters, the first consultation(€155) looked very promising with some guidelines but, after the €500 deposit paid, was showed a lack of interest by the solicitor which just used to contact me after a formal complain through the office, this happened 3 times over 2 months, what made me give up as had no progress or action, just the initials.
Absolute joke of a firm to deal with! Signed up as a new client online and submitted personal details like photo id and proof of address. Got chatting to a friendly guy in their Donegal offices and explained my situation and that's as far as I got! Rang four times and was assured someone would get back to me, also used online chat two times and assured also my calls would be returned. No chance! Gibson & Associates clearly dont want new Clients. I'm so annoyed about the whole experience. Still have the transcripts of the online chats filled with empty apologies and reassuring me someone would come back to me. So thanks again Emily Mc Tigue and Sinead Shaw for wasting my time.
Only because there's no option for minus !!!
My boyfriend and I bought a flat in Dublin last year and used Gibson and Associates for the conveyancing process. They were very unprofessional and made the whole process unnecessary stressful. Communication was almost impossible, especially getting them on the phone or even to answer an email. You have to call them every day in a hope someone will talk to you. At the time I was pregnant so we wanted things to go smoothly with no problems. All the paperwork on our part was done immediately, but months went by without hearing anything from them. I assumed that they will call us with updates when they receive paperwork from seller's solicitors but no such thing happened. I recieved a phone call from property agent that they haven't heard back from our solicitor and we told her we haven't received any paperwork. We called our solicitor to be told there's no updates but it could be on Friday. On the phone she said they haven't received any paperwork but she predicted that in few days she will. This was just beginning of our problems. I thought now thing will move on but another month pass by without hearing anything back. In that time I thought everything is normal, they are doing their job and soon will hear back from them. I was 8 months pregnant when I recieved a call from our property agent that seller's solicitor is going crazy telling them that he never work with somebody so unprofessional and he thinks we are stalling because we don't have a mortgage approved, because that's his only rational explanation on requests from our solicitor. He advised his clients to withdraw if we don't sign paperwork. It was Friday afternoon when I tried to call my solicitor to hear an explanation, she wasn't in the office but I refused to hang up till I speak to someone. I explained the situation to different solicitor who promised to call me, but he didn't. On Monday I got a phone call that suddenly its possible to sign a contract and go forward with purchase. I really want to say that from that point everything went smoothly but that would be a lie, 4 months passed before we got keys. Our solicitor was telling us one lie after another, e.g. we would call on Monday and she would tell us it will be closed this week, by Friday we wouldn't here anything back from her not even I'm sorry it will take longer. This went on for months. I wouldn't recommend this company
I contacted them for assistance after an accident, they called me, I signed documents and made an appointment. My appointment was cancelled the night before and I have heard nothing since. I emailed to follow up and no response. Not very encouraging!
I would not recommend this firm. This Firm is unprofessional, inexperienced and lacking in skill. They have a reputation from the other google reviews of dishonesty and lack of integrity. I would support the below comments. I have never experience such a dishonest firm before.
They acted as our conveyancing solicitors in the purchase of a property in May 2018. In November 2018 they claimed to have transferred a property bought into our names. Two years later we have no Title Deed, despite having paid in full - they blame PRIA. When we investigated with PRIA it became apparent that they had not even submitted the necessary documents to PRIA until 2020 - no doubt only after I queried the situation in September 2020! They do respond to emails albeit a month or so later and only after many follow-ups. Suggest you look else ware should you need a solicitor - not an organization I would recommend to anyone!! I have reported their dereliction of duty to the Law Society of Ireland.
Note: All of those reviews are collected from google public reviews. We have nothing to do with this. Thank you.
